We don't review such exotic things as tees, but these are a bit different. Just look at the picture--the look alone is space-age and will definitely turn heads. And perhaps you will also turn heads with the drives you hit that these tees can actually help with. Each tee has 3 prongs on top, which reduce friction for longer and straighter tee shots. An added bonus it that they last almost forever. Prices vary with length. The 1-3/4” size come in a 25 pack, 2-3/4’ come in a 50 pack, and the 3-1/4 tees come in a 35 pack.
Zero-fiction tees' purpose is to reduce the friction between the ball (Wow, never would have made that connection, Mr. Obvious) and the tee at impact. The concept is that by reducing the friction, you will have less of a chance of off-hitting the ball, as well as reducing friction giving more ball speed and increasing distance. This is something that has been talked about ever since these tees have been available. Some people will say this friction thing is a big waste of time. Others have found it really works. A former test with a robot gave drives 37 yards extra on average.
That's something that can't be ignored. The increase in tee size is used based on the distance of the hole, and each are effective from par 3s to the looooooooooong Par 5s. These are great because they last so long and they are applicable for every situation--the increased yardage, while you won't suddenly hit like Boo Weekley, you'll should see an improvement even using the most basic drivers, etc. It's a good investment.
