Woods' streak at end?

mar23_tiger_299x249.jpg

Tiger Woods has been unstoppable, unbelievable, and inhuman. He's won everything he's attempted, but barring another once-in-a-lifetime comebacks, the king's reign will be over. After basically dominating the World Golf Championships 15 of 26 times he's played in them, along with the CA Championships, and Doral as a whole, the one they call TIger looked incredibly human after the third round, shooting 72, and by being five back with seven holes to play, it could be all she wrote.

Why seven to go? The CAs were suspended for the day after a three-hour delay and that's how many holes he left to play. The leader, Geoff Ogilvy, has one. And he's not the only player standing in between Woods and his streak--Jim Furyk and Vijay Singh are two back as well. Woods currently stands in ninth place.

Unless he pulls off a big time comeback, his statistics will show nine of his last eleven events being victories heading into the Masters. While some will never win nine events, it's become an expectation to have Woods at or near the top every event he plays. Ogilvy has withstood the media and played amazingly, and he certainly deserves the title.
