Wagner finishes what he started

april6_wagner_299x270.jpg

Johnson Wagner had some nerves on Sunday. I mean, why wouldn't he? He had over 40 starts on the PGA Tour without a win and had missed six of nine cuts so far this year. He had been leading for the first three rounds at the Shell Houston Open. His emotions showed all day, as he was sweating like a lying man under oath and he nervously wiped his hands with a white towel before the majority of his shots.

But all of the nervousness was worth it after he sunk his final putt on the last hole, winning the tournament by 2 shots over Chad Campbell and Geoff Ogilvy (Man, Ogilvy has been playing well!!!). What's more is that not only did he get his win for the first notch, but he's now going to be booking a room in Augusta, Georgia, for the ultimate trip--The Masters.

Despite his nerves, Wagner really never gave anyone a chance--even though he only had a one stroke lead after the third round over Campbell. But suddenly after two holes, Wagner was up three strokes. After four, he was up five. Even as Ogilvy charged on the front nine, he still entered the turn down four.
