Top-Flite D2 Feel Golf Ball Review

Top-Flite has been known as a front-runner for a while with development of booming distance balls. Now, following that same head of steam, the D2 is supposed to be its "best" distance ball, employing a "dimple within a dimple" that decreases wind drag on the ball, thus allowing more carry and lift. Plus, it helps with your putting game (well, kind of) by having a crosshairs literally painted on the ball for more accuracy for your short game. Of course, in theory it is supposed to help...

But--let me tell you something--there is something to this--because while I thought the ball would be this booming, uncontrollable ball off the tee, it actually is one of those that is a great stop and drop ball. Seriously! And what's better is the price tag--16.00 for 15 of them! Yes, these are great for the spendthrift.

And--yes--it is good off the tee. It does lack a little bit of control because of the distance seeking factor, but that's ok, because the fairway irons and the fact that it does translate better into a short controllable ball around the green, I'd rather know I have distance off the tee and then go from there :) Overall, a sound ball and excellent for the price.
