Srixon AD333 Golf Ball Review

Finally, something that is affordable! At 20.00 a dozen, it's amazing how lower handicap players don't even give it a chance based on its price. Well--they are indeed wrong to be stereotyping it--because it's a darn decent ball. Designed for moderate and slow swingers, the ball has a good amount of resilience improvement, and six different dimple sizes increase surface-area coverage. Improved aerodynamics means the ball descends at a shallower trajectory, which keeps it airborne longer for more carry.

My feeling is that for those playing the NXT balls, the Laddie, or any other lower compression ball that is less than $30/dozen, this ball is definitely worth a look. I would play a more expensive ball on really firm greens, but this one is fantastic on most greens. Spins just enough, is long off the tee, seems to handle well in the wind, and stays bright white as well as any ball I've ever teed up.

Handling in the wind seems to be a big issue amongst mid to high handicappers like myself, so this is an amazing quality to have in a ball. Off the tee, it seemed to hang quite a bit better, definitely a tribute to the dimple design. There's definitely something to be said for those who want a good combination at power and control.
