Paul Casey: Man on a Mission

Paul Casey, a native European, hasn't joined the PGA Tour in 2 seasons. He's back.

Why now?

Well--quite simple. It's a Ryder Cup year, and he not only wants to make the European team, but he wants to also just simply be a better player, which means playing in the PGA tournaments as well as China and the Middle East. By doing this and performing, he will move up the world ranks, and therefore put himself in the place of being named to the Ryder team.

Frankly, it sounds like a great plan and it makes total sense, especially having to be all over the place and only play 4 tournaments to keep his European Tour status. Now, if there were other guys who would have this kind of advanced planning as well as confidence to do these types of things, we may have more challengers to Tiger's throne. Although it's doubtful.
