Ogilvy still atop CA leaderboard after 2nd round

march21_ogilvy_299x308.jpg

Geoff Ogilvy has done something that hasn't happened very often on the PGA Tour this season--lead both the opening and second rounds. But, somehow, that doesn't seem to matter on the larger scale of things when you consider Tiger Woods in the mix. Why? Well, the facts are pretty much "in your face":

He has made the Blue Monster look as simple as Blue's Clues.
He has won the CA Championship three years in a row.
He was won six tournaments in a row.

And he sits 1 shot back from the lead.

Still, Ogilvy cannot be ignored as a threat to this situation--he has not made a bogey and has been extremely steady throughout, even being able to weather the "Tiger" mania that the media is frenzying upon. So, is it fair to not give Ogilvy his due? Yes, but even he knows what he's up against--but all he can do is keep playing his game and hope that it means a victory.
