Nike SV Tour Black Satin Wedge Review

This club--just by looks alone--is super smooth. Of course, what else would you expect from Nike? But the question is--does it perform? According to the manufacturer, "Nike broadens the SV Tour line by adding five lofts with a black satin finish that gives these scoring clubs a sleek, aggressive look. It also reduces glare on sunny days. The sweet-feeling heads, made from soft carbon steel, have CNC-milled faces and U-grooves for consistency and control from shot to shot."

Alright..English, please.

Basically, the SV Tour provides consistent golf ball response off the club face for more accurate golf shots. Priced at 119, it's on the high end for wedges, but when you buy Nike, you expect to pay for Tiger's endorsement contract. It's a favorite wedge among such notables as KJ Choi and Tiger, so you know it HAS to be good. I have swung this club only a few times, and wedges have a tendency to be light in order for you to fully come through the ball, but this one has a very even feel to it. Again, on feel and looks alone--it's a good club. Now, pay up.
