Remember when Fred Couples had a situation in 1992 where a simple blade of grass kept him in the hunt for the Masters--which he ended up winning? I am talking about when just one stroke of fate in terms of the ball falling into water versus staying in and it ending up deciding the tournament. Well, we could be thinking the same thing if Trevor Immelman ends up winning the Masters.
Why? A similar circumstance occurred on 15, when he overshot the hole and it rolled down the hill, heading towards the pond--but it didn't, and Immelman ended up shooting 3 under for the day and now holds a 2 shot lead over Brandt Snedeker, who also has had a great tournament--every round has been consistent. Steve Flesch is 3 shots back and Paul Casey is 4 back. You-know-who is 5 back :)
The course is playing under ideal conditions, and with the tightness of the first four places right now, it's anybody's game, but the sentimental choice is Immelman, who fought off some pretty bad health scares in 2007, and he just has been a media darling. Don't miss it.
