Dubai's Big Purse won't lure Tiger to Euro Tour

..or says his agent. When it was announced that the European Tour would host a 10 million dollar event in Dubai for the 2009 season, the rumor was that Tiger Woods would possibly jump ship due to the fact of the purse itself and the fact that Woods is building his first course in Dubai, so it would be a great incentive for him.

However, not just anyone can be in it--you have to be a "committed" European Tour player to be eligible for the tourney, so when questioned, Woods agent Mark Steinberg denied any notion that Tiger would leave the PGA behind for (literally) greener pastures. Steinberg noted that Tiger's schedule is Tiger's schedule, planned around his own projects, family, and the PGA's majors.

I am actually taken aback that this is even an issue. What kind of person do we take Tiger for? Just a money-grubbing, disloyal player who is only out for himself? I mean, perhaps there is a light of whether some players wish he'd go someplace else to give them a chance, but for the career that Woods has lead, it would totally tarnish him. Number 1, he doesn't need the money, and number 2, he doesn't need the headaches either that you know would come with the media beating the crap out of him for it.
