Baddeley Wins the Open! In Other News, Dewey Defeats Truman!

Baddeley.jpg

Does that seem premature? You may be right, but whatever the case, tomorrow should be interesting. Aaron Baddeley looks very strong, but Tiger appeared rock solid himself. And don't forget the other guys in the mix who all seem capable of winning, like Paul Casey, Stephen Ames, Justin Rose and Jim Furyk. Should be a great final round.

What to watch for tomorrow?

Can Tiger Woods win his first major coming from behind in the final round? Amazingly he's never done it.

Can Baddeley stand up to Tiger in the final round? None of his twenty-something crew has been able to do so yet.

Will any of the leaders go under par? Last year Geoff Ogilvy won at 5 over and I have to imagine this year's winning score will be higher.

Who will flame out down the stretch? You know somebody will, especially with the setup at Oakmont.

Will I catch any of the final round? I've got a 11:20 tee time (PST) and I'm hoping to finish and catch the last few holes.

My predictions: Baddeley wins. I know it sounds crazy, but I think he convinced me this afternoon. The guy putts better than anyone including Tiger, and he's swinging very nicely. He has an abysmal record in majors and he's paired with the biggest, baddest player on the planet, but I think he brings it home. Take it to the bank people!
