A Thousand Pardons

To all you loyal gimme.ca readers (mainly I'm talking to my wife and my mother here) please accept my humble apology for not posting for the last few weeks. Why, you might ask, have I been so oddly silent?

It all started after the US Open when I was invited by winner Angel Cabrera to visit him in his native Argentina for a candid one-on-one interview. Excited about the opportunity, I spent 2 long weeks doing nothing but boning up on my conversational Portugese so that me and the Golfer de Angeles could communicate properly. After those 2 weeks, I hopped on a bus in Tijuana and made for Argentina (where exactly I didn't know, but, I figured, how big can Argentina be?). But, wouldn't you know it, as soon as I got to Argentina and sat down with Angel, we couldn't understand each other. Turns out Argentinians don't speak Portugese. Must be Argentinian or something (I couldn't find it in Rosetta Stone's catalog). On the positive side, Angel made a lovely paella.

Well, I'm back.
