A Love Story

>april17_lovestory_299x276.jpg

Harbour Town has always been good to Davis Love III. He has won there five times during his career, and this week, the Verizon Heritage Tournament was being played in good ole' Hilton Head, S.C. So it's only fitting that after the first round that Love is at the top, tied with Lucas Glover and Justin Leonard.

Leonard and Love have had some tough goings as of late, but no one has had it worse than Love, who had a freak accident that left him with torn ligaments last September. He had struggled to get back to form, but all he needed it seems was a shot in the arm from Harbour Town. This is great news considering that Love missed his first cut in a major after almost 18 years.

Leonard has built up a momentum of sorts after finishing in the top 20 at the Masters, and he has won at Harbour Town as well in 2002. However, his game has faded from the dominant seasons he had quite some time ago. One thing's for sure--both of these guys needed this type of beginning, we'll see if they can hold it!
